I love this little place. It's super nice and the prices are great! The food is amazing and the service is quick and on point.
We go often enough the wait staff recognizes us. But ever since we have started going the food is excellent, the service is fast and courteous, and the prices are fair. Try the antipasto salad.
We were in town celebrating our youngest grandsons birthday. Our grandchildren seemed to enjoy the lasagna and the grilled cheese as well. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was good too. Word to the wise , make sure you make reservations early or else you will wait hours on a table if you didn’t make reservations. We managed to get reservations tonight but we had to take a late time as all the earlier times were all filled up.
Food was delicious! Good service.
Great atmosphere and really good food. Pretty tiny place but would expect that from a restaurant opened in 1950. Family owned business with authentic homemade Italian food. Go check them out.
This place has been around ever since I can remember. It’s notable for its dark, homey atmosphere and drippy candles. We love this place. Their breadsticks and garlic bread are hot, buttery, and a little crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. I love their Caesar salads. But the fettuccine alfredo is where they really shine. I’ve never tasted a better fettuccine alfredo. The sauce is rich and they bake the dish in the oven prior to serving and a few noodles on top are just a little crispy. For some reason, that just adds so much. Love Luigi’s!
Luigi's is a great local flavor. Better than the chain Italian places you will find around town. The friendly waitstaff and food more than make up for the lack of parking and somewhat crowded feeling you have while dining. In all reality, that's part of it's charm. Located downtown Midland, it's been a draw for locals since I was a kid. If you're looking for a little slice of Midland, this is a great place to check out!
I have no idea how this place has survived so long with the awful parking issues you always have going here. Not only that but it seems like the two drink limit would also hinder sales. Personally my experience wasnt exactly bad but i dont see myself coming back.
Great atmosphere! Pleasant folks to be around! Server is awesome. A full helping of food and drinks! Waited 15 minutes for a table...bar area is quaint. To Collins was good. Seafood alfredo delicious! Servers and manager sat and talked for a while after the meal. Definitely recommended to dine out here! Thank you, staff!
A Midland staple. There is a reason it’s been around for so long, it never disappoints.
Food was excellent. Service could have been better. Waitress was lacking on attentiveness. Had to flag her down to get her attention. But food was great. Probably just got a bad waitress. I will probably return.
Excellent Italian food and thin crust pizza! Good service in a warm hole in the wall atmosphere. If you want pizza and pasta they have you covered with the pizza snack, all this with some great prices! Make sure you get a reservation as the wait is long otherwise.
Amazing ... best lasagna I've ever had
Very good service and very good food only thing is there's not enough parking spots or places to park luckly after five it doesn't really matter where u park n e more but still sucked leaving our truck there
My favorite Italian place hands down. I remember coming here when I was a child and I am glad I get to share it with my kiddos.
Food is always great but not necessarily my first choice.
4 stars for me. Only because of the atmosphere, it is really cool. Peaceful. Food was terrible. Sorry. But it was. The people saying its great, clearly do not know real Italian food. Try Mi Piaci's in Odessa. I grew up on real Italian, Mi Piaci's is amazing and only about 20 minutes away....you're welcome.
I went with a small group for lunch on a Friday. I had heard good things about Luigi's and had high expectations. The restaurant was small, cluttered and dark. I got the San-O-Rama which really sold itself on the menu. I was really disappointed. Overall the prices were to high for the portions and food quality. Most of the group was happy with their pasta dishes and the desserts we ordered were good. I paid $17 and change for a small sandwich with a scoop of potato salad and a piece of chocolate cake. The service was good, the drinks stayed full and the food came quickly.
Sauce was horrible and these portions for lasagna are a joke. Will not be putting another order in with these guys.
I had only heard good things, so I had high expectations. The service was how all service in PB is, everyone needs more staff. The food was meh, we asked for garlic bread and was brought garlic toast slices, then noticed all the tables around us had breadsticks..so the next time the waitress came around we asked for garlic breadsticks and that's what we got. I had Chicken Parmesan, the chicken was good and moist, the sauce tasted bland and like it was from a jar, and so was the sauce on my pasta. I realy wanted it to be great, but honestly if I'm going to have spaghetti I'd rather get it from Olive Garden.
The veal parmesan is great, the Italian Grooms cake is not to be missed. Service is top notch
Me and my husband ate here.. Talk about candlelight dinner.. Good food.. They make sure you have everything you need.. Quick and good... First we ever ate there..
First time trying Luigi’s, we ordered Togo. My husband order Veil and I ordered chicken parmigiana. I get the food home and my husbands food was burnt and very tough. Our garlic toast was soggy. The tomato sauce had to much salt. My husband and I were disappointed. Honestly Fazolis food taste better.
Great, friendly place. At first, I didn’t see what people saw in Luigi’s but once you find your menu item (Veggie Pizza!!) it all makes sense. My husband loves the Chicken Delight and we often call in orders for pickup. They are consistently good.
Pizza is the bomb, service was awesome
By far the best fettuccini Alfredo I have ever eaten. The parking a very difficult, but the food makes it worth it. Get there!
You feel like family here. Cozy seating with a warm atmosphere. The food is delicious and the staff attentive. Just be ready for loud crashes as the bussing of the tables culminates with the staff throwing the dishes in bin in the corner of the restaurant. Incredibly loud and startling, every time. Four stars otherwise.
I actually truly love this place! I’ve only given it four stars because sometimes they take forever to bring your food when it’s sitting on the counter ready to serve...so sometimes it gets a little cooled off. Highly recommend the lasagna!! It doesn’t cool off and the breadsticks are amazing!
Food was ok not great. Not what I expected for reviewer. Edible bit won't go back
I had not been back here in probably 30 years! It was super busy. The wait staff were efficient and the service was great. The food was mediocre. Having said that, my sister ordered a pizza that was pretty good... thin crispy crust with loads of good stuff on top. Go with the pizza.
Not recommended. This restaurant is extremely old and it is a dark, dirty place. The food was so bad. The salad was iceberg lettuce and wasn't dried so the dressing was watery. The bread had no flavor. I have never had worse lasagna. No idea why coworkers like this place.
I think this is the best Italian restaurant in Midland. The pizza, spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna, & chicken parmigiana are all great. I've never had to wait too long for a table. The service is usually good.
Sure the wait was long..but worth it and the staff is always awesome and nice and the food,..fantastic.
Food was pretty good, ambience was nice, server did not know the house wine, was quick to bring us drinks, refills and food, but did not check on us for some time, ordered a pizza to go and she failed to put in the order until we reminded her 15 minutes later. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. Will more than likely return.
Food is good, but not worth the price.
The food was very bland. I was very excited about going to this place because a lot of people had said so many good things about it. I was expecting spectacular tasting food but very disappointed And my waitress Stephanie forgot to bring me my key dessert.
Prices are decent, main entree needed more seasoning for me. Tables were clean, friendly atmosphere. The butter garlic toast bread is 100%
Classic atmosphere , old school Italian feel of the whole experience of dining.
TERRIBLE! Such limited seating, and when there are multiple empty tables- seat the 20 people crammed in the front walkway! You better shower bc too many people were touching me in the waiting area. We waited 30 min to be told it would be another hour wait. Step up your game- this gets old
We lived in Midland 20 years ago and would come to Luigi’s every week for lunch. I love their hamburger and jalapeño pizza and the salad with the house dressing. We’ve lived lots of other places but the memories and food at Luigi’s has been one of our favorite. My recent visit only reinforced my loved for Luigi’s. So thankful they are still here and have stood the test of time!!
Quiet space, great food, and great customer service!
Advertisers make this out to be a high class restaurant! Plastic tablecloth, paper placemats and generic candles shoved in a Chianti bottle to make it look authentic. Tastes like price for Ragu spaghetti sauce... LOL
Amazing food and atmosphere.
Pizza, quality stuff. Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. Makes me feel like I in Nashville again.
Good food for a good price. The bread is amazing ! I would recommend them adding a little bit sauce to their pastas though. Almost every pasta dish you get is more on the dry side.
Horrendous parking availability and extremely slow service, at least the waiters were pleasant after an incorrect order...
A beautiful interior marred by sub-sub-par food and a ridiculous drink policy. 1st, the pizza is like cheese and sauce on a well baked cracker. The thickest toughest cracker I’ve ever tasted. Like civil war Hard Tac. The cheese and sauce were ok, but the crust relegates this pizza “eh, it was the only thing available” status. The meatball sub was more meat than ball and lacked any flavor beyond the sauce and the side of pickles provided. Finally, the drink policy is ridiculous. There is a two drink maximum. I had two beers and was then told I couldn’t order another. Boo hiss!
Pizza was amazing and my server was amazing she was always checking on our table thanks for the great food and experience.
Amazing food, had the Manicotti - split white and red sauce - which was incredible. Service was excellent and very friendly
